Job Overview:

The Revenue Audit Clerk performs numerous gaming and nongaming related audit and financial reporting functions, including preparation of journal entries, verification of system reporting functions, and recording financial information by entering data into the computer, calculating and summarizing numbers, and drafting and reviewing financial documents for proper completion. Observes and checks inventory counts, maintains compliance with gaming regulations and completes other tasks as assigned by Revenue Audit Supervisor or above.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completes assigned audits daily
  • Checks all documentation for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization during assigned daily gaming and non-gaming audits
  • Prepares exception reports for variances and non-compliance with Gaming Regulations
  • Performs data entry for logging of controlled document tracking
  • Maintains reports and audits documentation in an organized manner including required logs and exception reports
  • Monitors end of month inventories of all nongaming venues
  • Maintains compliance with department operations within approved Review Audit Manual Procedures
  • Reviews, tests and verifies electronic games on casino floor
  • Establishes and maintains files and records including preparation for long-term storage and document destruction
  • Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
  • General knowledge of Microsoft, Excel (a skills test will be administered and candidate must achieve at least 70% skills pass rate)- required
  • One (1) year auditing, accounting experience or financial operations- required; gaming related experience- preferred
  • Experience with Casino Systems, SDS, CMP, Opera- preferred
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds required
  • Willing and able to work various hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to walk for the duration of the shift and at times may have to bend, stoop and kneel
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
