Job Description:

  1. Responsible for actively building and retaining customer relations and acts as a mentor to employees in order to provide superior customer service level.

  2. Hires, motivates, evaluates and directs staff, ensuring team members receive the training, support, adequate guidance and necessary resources to accomplish established objectives.

  3. Implements and monitors department objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget to achieve effective supervision of the department.

  4. Responsible for developing an environment that creates excitement for guests and employees, promoting and retaining a highly skilled work force. 

  5. Oversees daily activities of staff to ensure successful operation of events and promotions as measured by guest satisfaction.

  6. Complies with Belterra Park standards, guidelines, and objectives and maintains administrative processes to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of department functions.

  7. Meets and communicates with staff and other departments to facilitate planning for fulfilling their special promotional needs such as for parties, etc.

  8. Plans and coordinates promotions and special events, including development of ideas and creation of events calendar.  Acts as a liaison with the Ohio Lottery Commission as it relates to the Events and Promotions

  9. Directs all clerical duties associated with Promotions and Special Events, including scheduling appointments, maintaining files and records.

  10. Coordinates work orders, traffic flow, planning and analysis for all Special Events and Promotions.

  11. Manages long and short term planning for all functions of events and promotions departments including analysis of product and market opportunities, program effectiveness, and development of strategies to ensure adequate level of guest satisfaction and achievement of established market share goals. 

  12. Develops all property advertising, in order to promote the property and its activities and maintain consistency with corporate marketing policy, strategies, and goals

  13. Coordinates creative and production functions for development of all property marketing materials to support key operational areas.

  14. May distribute promotional coupons and gifts.

  15. Determines supplies necessary for the special event activities to ensure the timely procurement of necessary parts and that par inventory is maintained; coordinates the upkeep and maintenance of equipment to ensure proper operation.

  16. Coordinates the marketing, advertising, and publicity of all special events activities.

  17. Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

Job Requirements:

Ability to follow verbal and written direction.

Ability to use computer (Microsoft Applications.)

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through a Degree in marketing and one plus years’ experience in gaming marketing preferred 

Detail-oriented Event planning

Knowledge of computer and quantitative analysis skills helpful.

Knowledge of promotions related activities helpful.

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, as well as outside contacts and guests.

Ability to review and comprehend all necessary documentation.

Ability to use a computer keyboard, 10-key, etc. 

Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

This position is subject to varying levels of noise, heat and smoke.

Ability to maintain all Regulatory licenses within assigned state of employment

Must successfully pass background check

Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
