Job Description:
The incumbent is  responsible for altering and repairing garments, according to department policies. The incumbent is also responsible for issuing, receiving and maintaining employee uniforms 

Delivers superior internal and external guest service the Pinnacle Way by ensuring every interaction includes our Six Core Service Standards (Look sharp, smile and greet the guest; Be friendly, polite and use courteous language; Provide especially timely and knowledgeable service and then some; Always find solutions to guests’ problems; Use the guest’s name when appropriate; Thank the guest and invite him or her back.); and work harmoniously with fellow team members.

 



  1. Provides current information to operating managers on uniform inventory through knowledge of the life expectancy, discard, shrinkage of uniforms and seasonal employee turnover.




  2. Alters and repairs garments according to department policies.


  3. Operates all machinery in a safe and efficient manner.


  4. Tags and/or marks garments as needed.


  5. Coordinates with department managers for replacement and change of outdated uniform styles.


  6. Reports any safety hazards to assigned supervisor


  7. Possesses and executes complete knowledge of wardrobe policies.


  8. Performs wash-and-wear test on fabric samples for quality and endurance and notifies of assessment


  9. Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.


  

 
Job Requirements:


  •  This position operates in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of noise.


  • Incumbents are at times subjected to hazards such as the dangers associated with the use of sewing machines and scissors.


  • Ability to inspect garments and make necessary alterations and repairs.


  • Must be able to use the equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, sewing machines.


  • Ability to bend, carry, reach and push/pull up to 50 pounds is necessary in order to carry out routine garment alterations and repairs.


  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.


  • Machines and equipment used, but not limited to, are sewing machines, serger, scissors, telephone, and computers.


 

   

The skills and abilities of this position are typically acquired through three years’ commercial seamstress experience.  Vocational training in sewing preferred 



Ability to maintain all Regulatory licenses within assigned state of employment

Must successfully pass background check

Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
